Bitcoin reaches its all time high and the best ways to to learn more about Bitcoin for free!

Bitcoin is a complex subject and there is an enormous amount of information to sift through and make sense of. Unfortunately, there is also a lot of misinformation, scams and alike on social media platforms, so we wanted to share the best sources to learn about Bitcoin.

But first, the news.

  1. Central Bank Digital Currencies: A Technocratic Fallacy

CBDCs are antithetical to Bitcoin and represent repression as opposed to freedom.

This week, Bitvice’s co-founder Brandon van Niekerk had his article about Central Bank Digital Currencies published by Bitcoin Magazine with a monthly readership of ~2million people. CBDCs are bigger than most think. They are the fundamental mechanism for the ‘Great Reset’ in our eyes and will affect close to everyone on this planet in a plethora of ways.

If you have haven’t read it yet you can check it out here for all the details including:

  • What are the problems with the current monetary system?
  • What are CBDCs?
  • What problems are CBDCs solving?
  • What is the cost of all of this?
  • CBDC vs Bitcoin

2. Bitcoin’s price has reached a new ATH (All Time High)!

There’s nothing much to be said here, because you probably already knew that

3. ETF

This week was one of the biggest financial milestones for Bitcoin. Since 2013, a Bitcoin ETF has been trying to make its way into the markets, without any success. But, this week we saw the launch of the first Bitcoin Futures ETF. The ETF reached $1Billion in volume on its first day, the 2nd highest for any ETF in history!

Van Eck has also just successfully passed its ETF submission and their Futures ETF will also launch next week. They have been trying since 2017/18.

We think this will be a good topic to write about soon, as there are many negatives about this ETF when looking at it from a Bitcoiner’s viewpoint. But that’s for another day.
The next best thing after Bitcoin would be a Bitcoin-settled/spot ETF, where Bitcoin is physically settled. Keep a lookout for these in the coming weeks and if they enter the fray, expect some exciting times in the Bitcoin price.
